Introduction
The “6-GLCiatives” is a unique project of the Gabriel Law College, Mandi Bahauddin. It is intended to make learning come alive for the GLCians through certain meticulously chosen exciting cocurricular and extracurricular activities focused on training their youthful minds to creativity. The skills flourished by the project will be the essential equipment for professional success, ready to embrace GLCians in the coming days.
Mission Statement
The “6-GLCiatives” project is based on the slogan that “everyone has a right to grow”. We learn best when we develop certain skills through interactive and exciting activities. We aim to grow a healthy atmosphere providing GLCians with equal opportunities to prove themselves, both individually and in teams, through creativity and “thinking what no one else thought”.
1. Gabriel’s Whisper LAC (Legal Aid Cell)
Legal aid denotes legal assistance to needy and indigent persons and legal literacy is the endeavor for creating legal awareness. One of the main duties of the Gabriel’s Whisper is to arrange certain programs important for motivation and development of practical approach in GLCians, such as one annual Law Moot Competition; awakening study tours; motivational lectures of eminent jurists, inspiring officials; social workers; etc. Gabriel’s Whisper LAC provides legal aid and training on a non-profit basis and in the general public interest. It plans to achieve its objectives through awakening activities such as uplifting legal understanding, providing legal training to different segments of society, and access to justice.
The Cell also holds the Gabriel Alumni lists, which helps it guide and support GLCians in exploring diverse career opportunities in renowned law firms based locally and in major cities, e.g. Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, etc. It also arranges certain activities promoting GLCians to draw their roadmap for competitive exams in the long run.
2. Gabriel’s Scrolls LS (Literary Society)
This Society is dedicated to inspiring the GLCians’ interest in literature, research and debating activities. It conducts one mega research, literary, and/or debating event annually. To promote an air of creativity, the Gabriel’s Scrolls LS arranges activities in all fields of Law, Art and Science; especially in emerging fields, e.g. Environmental Law, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, etc.
Members of the Society, not only hold certain lists of opportunities nationally and internationally regarding activities under their domain in which GLCians may participate but also guide and facilitate them to process their applications and candidature.
3. Gabriel’s Scepter OB (Organization Board)
Where creativity meets execution, we bring life to events. Gabriel’s Scepter OB is the hub of innovation, passion, and teamwork. Inspired by their slogan: “Let’s make every event unforgettable”, its members craft unforgettable experiences:
- Cultural festivals, concerts, and performances
- Conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Competitions, tournaments, and games
- Social gatherings, fundraisers, and charity events
The creative and zealous members of Gabriel’s Scepter OB include:
- Visionary planners
- Creative designers
- Energetic marketers
- Logistical wizards
Gabriel’s Scepter OB empowers students to:
- Develop leadership and management skills
- Showcase talents and creativity
- Build lifelong connections
- Enhance campus life
This board also acts as a supporting hand for organising and conducting the events planned and designed by the other 5 clubs, etc. It will also host the Farewell Party.
4. Gabriel’s Lampter LMC (Legal Media Cell)
Getting inspiration from their slogan “unleash creativity, amplify perspectives”, Gabriel’s Lampter LMC is the vibrant voice of student expression, showcasing talents and telling stories that matter.
Through lenses and lyrics, members of Gabriel’s Lampter LMC:
- Capture campus life, events, and achievements
- Produce compelling content, podcasts, and videos
- Foster inclusive dialogue, debating pressing issues
- Provide platforms for emerging artists and writers
Dynamic team of Gabriel’s Lampter LMC:
- Photographers, videographers, and editors
- Journalists, bloggers, and social media enthusiasts
- Graphic designers, illustrators, and animators
Gabriel’s Lampter LMC is more than a platform – it’s a movement, which shapes the narrative and inspires the peers.
5. Gabriel’s Leirion BDC (Blood Donation Club)
Every drop counts, every life matters. Gabriels’s Leirion BDC embodies the spirit of selflessness, uniting individuals passionate about saving lives. Members of this club believe that the gift of blood is the greatest gift of all.
Through awareness campaigns, donation drives, and community outreach, they strive to:
- Educate on the importance of blood donation
- Encourage voluntary donations
- Bridge the gap between donors and recipients
Members of Gabriel’s Leirion BDC are the unsung heroes, donating blood, time, and energy. Together, we:
- Save lives in emergencies and surgeries
- Support patients with chronic conditions
